Results from the SENIOR trial published in the August 2018 issue of the journal Diabetes Care demonstrate the efficacy and safety of insulin glargine 300 Units/mL in adults aged 65 years and older with type 2 diabetes compared to insulin glargine 100 Units/mL. Comparable reductions in A1c and reduced risk of symptomatic hypoglycemic episodes were also observed with insulin glargine 300 units.
